With laminitis , the blood vessels of the hoof skin are no longer intact, moisture is released. This swelling in the hoof shoe is very sensitive to the animal. In case of laminitis, the ration should be adjusted, give good quality hay and avoid concentrates. Furthermore, the complaints of the animal must be alleviated. Putting the horse in wet sand can also relieve the complaints. When Puur Podo is applied preventively, start in the spring, 3 days before outdoor grazing.
